Vintage tools - chisel set H2459

An iconic set of 6 x TITAN AUSTRALIA No:101 Registered Firmer Chisels, the last production year was 1978 for these chisels. Nice lengths to the blades considering that they’re 48 years old at their youngest.

These are surprisingly hard to find in good lengths & condition these days, hardened to rockwell 59-61 at the factory to suit hard Aussie timbers -

1 x 7/8" - 22mm wide blade x 105mm

1 x 3/4" - 19mm wide blade x 105mm

blade length to shoulder

1 x 5/8” - 16mm wide blade x 105mm

blade length to shoulder

1 x 1/2” - 13mm wide blade x 95mm

blade length to shoulder

1 x 1/4” - 7mm wide blade x 104mm blade length to shoulder

1 x 1/8” - 3mm wide blade x 90mm blade length to shoulder

CONDITION

These chisels are in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, all will require sharpening.

Handle conditions:

7/8" chisel- good.

3/4" chisel - a couple of check at the bolster 

5/8" chisel - good.

1/2” chisel- good, slight bend at the tang.

1/4" chisel- good, slight bend at the tang.

1/8” chisel- good partial decal, slight bend at the tang.
