Up for sale is a hard to find Australian made CARTER No:4 smoothing plane in its original box.
Only produced for 10 years - 1945-1955 in Parramatta, NSW. They are a cool piece of history of the Australian post WW2 manufacturing boom times.
51mm cutter.
Weight - 1.9kg
CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, a very original example, some storage oxidation & finish loss, the original rear handle has a near full trade label. The box is tatty & has a partial trade label also, one for the Australian plane collector.
