Up for sale is an amazing vintage CARTER Australia No:5 jack plane. Getting harder to find these Aussie made planes.
Carter were only in production from 1945 to 1955. Carter used SWEDISH TOOL STEEL for their cutters & they are thicker than a Stanley blade.
This is a COLLECTOR GRADE Carter No:5, it has the original blue base paint, intact coachwood handles with a full “Carter Tools Precision Instruments”.
This one is proudly made in Australia with a 51mm cutter & coachwood handles.

CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, very little use & a tidy example, some minor finish loss to the base, a full decal on the rear handle, this is one for the serious Australian plane collector.
