Vintage tools - plane N1012
Up for sale is a very hard to find antique STANLEY No.5 TYPE 2, 1869-72 , made in the USA.
The handles are superb & the plane has the solid adjuster nut with 2 x patent stamps & a solid lever cap incised with the number 5. An absolutely gorgeous early survivor from the genesis period in metallic planes.

CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, a small chip off one corner of the levercap. A lovely early Stanley plane, type 2s are not at all common & this is an absolutely gorgeous example.
