Vintage tools - infill plane N1148
Up for sale is an antique and absolutely stunning user made INFILL plane with an INDIAN ROSEWOOD INFILL. Extra nice grain on this one with the darker “ink trails” in the rosewood.
A shapely plane that was made by someone who took pride in their work & who knew what they were doing.
These really are the luxury yacht of the planing world, with an extra thick laminated steel cutter & the finest mouth, plus with the steel cutter bedded against the rosewood infill, they never chatter.

Size: 220mm x 65mm with a 55mm cutter.
CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use. There is a chip off one side of the top horn. A nice thick I.SORBY cutter. Sharp enough to use. It’s a lovely plane with plenty of character and performance for the workshop.
