Vintage tools - plane N555
Up for sale is a rare vintage ROBERT McCONNELL Australian made SCRUB PLANE.
Only produced for approximately 10 years (around 1941-1951), they are a cool piece of the Australian post WW2 manufacturing boom times, made in the Fortitude Valley, Queensland.
Arguably one of the more minimal & brutalist hand plane designs ever produced, they have charm by the bucket load & are a very rare thing. In collector grade condition, stamped with its patent number & date & silky oak handles.
So ugly that it’s beautiful.

CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some paint marks on the base, will require sharpening prior to use. One of the more striking looking Australian planes & one of the rarest to find in this condition.
