Vintage tools - infill plane N640
Up for sale is a stunning craftsman made GUNMETAL INFILL smoothing plane with a gorgeous TASMANIAN BLACKWOOD INFILL & heavy cast bronze body.
This plane feels good in the hand & it’s absolutely gorgeous, one can still see remnants of file cuts to the shapely brass heel.
These really are the luxury yacht of the planing world, with an extra thick laminated steel cutter, plus with the steel cutter bedded against the timber infill, they never chatter.

Size: 220mm x 63mm with a 53mm cutter.
CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, a previous owners marks on the body, will require sharpening prior to use. It’s a lovely plane for the workshop & heavy for its size.
