Up for sale is a rare S7 jointer plane by SHEFFIELD toolmaker JOHN SORBY.
Sorby’s tools are renowned for their edge retention & this one has a near full original laminated vanadium steel cutter. This is the only one of these that we have had pass through our hands.
The plane is 520mm overall long x 73mm wide with a 60mm cutter.

CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, a small chip off the inside front toe casting. Gorgeous Rosewood handles & a cool partial Mr Punch trade label on the rear handle. It will require sharpening prior to use. A gorgeous heavy jointer by I.SORBY.
