Vintage tools - knife T531:
Up for sale is a gorgeous old stub tail razor by ROBINSON, circa 1810-30, it has a wedge profile, what looks like buffalo horn scales with silver bullseye rivets with a lead wedge.
It’s in amazing condition for a 200 year old razor.
Size - 158mm long when closed & 250mm when open with a 78mm long blade that is 16mm wide at the widest point.
Weight - 60g
The sharpening stone is available separately.
This razor is in authentic vintage condition, some light pitting here & there that won’t affect use. The red on the scales in photo 3 is just a reflection. It’s in good condition considering its age, a number 2 carved into one scale & some small flea bite chips to the edges of the scales here & there, I’ve given it a hone to tidy up the bevel- the steel was very hard in my opinion, it will need further honing prior to use. A lovely old survivor that will make a great user, hard to find in this condition.
