ITEM DESCRIPTION

Vintage tools -  infill plane T3569

Up for sale is an antique INFILL SHOULDER PLANE with a MAHOGANY INFILL & with a  CAST IRON BODY, with a cutter by AARON HILDICK. Made by LONDON PLANEMAKER HENRY SLATER CLERKENWELL, the body is also stamped M- most likely for malleable iron.

Weight -   1.2kg

Size: 8" x 1.5"  or 200mm x 37mm

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, the cutter is short, some heavy wear to the wedge, the usual marks, dings & scratches to the body but the bottom edges are nice & sharp- the strike button has saved the heel of the plane from most of the abuse, the wedge needs adjustment- either a small packer at the top or bottom, it’s a lovely plane for the workshop & a handy size.

Please check the photos as they are part of the description.
