Vintage tools - axe Y1694
Up for sale is an early & unusual antique FRENCH hand forged MATTOCK HEAD, with an integrated ripping & slicing hook.
It has a pretty cool riveted repair to the blade & the whole head has a dark pleasing patina of age. It makes for a fantastic display piece.
The head is 435mm long overall, It is of a hand forged construction.
Weight - 2kg
CONDITION
This mattock head is in authentic antique condition, a dark dull patina of oxidation. This mattock head was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
