French antique tools - adze Y1706
Up for sale is an early antique FRENCH ADZE with a curved blade & hammer poll. It looks to be a fairly early hand forged tool. A good sized blade for spoons, bowls & chair seats.
The blade is 55mm wide & measures 160mm long along the head, it’s an impressive piece.
Weight - 340g
CONDITION
This adze is in authentic antique condition, a dark patina & wear and tear consistent with age and use. Some rust marks & pitting. A gorgeous piece & it has some age to it. This adze was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
