Up for sale is an early & unusual antique FRENCH AXE HEAD.
The blade is 142mm wide & measures 255mm long overall, its an impressive piece.
Weight - 1.45kg
CONDITION
This axe is in authentic antique condition, a dark patina & rust & some pitting as to be expected with a possible 18th century tool, a crack at the front of the eye that would weld up. This adze was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
