Vintage tools - plane Y973
Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH smoothing PLANE that has some age to it. It looks to have been made out of CORMIER WOOD, a fine grained dense fruitwood.
A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.
Weight - 1.1kg
Size: 215mm long x 57mm wide & with a 41mm cutter
CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, a few scratches, chips & wear. The sole is a piece of laminated cormier. A laminated steel cutter. It's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
