Vintage tools -  plane Y2432

Up for sale is a RARE & gorgeous antique FRENCH smoothing PLANE that has some age to it, made out of heavy FRENCH CORMIER wood.

Unusually it has a rare pictorially embossed NAPOLEON Cast Steel blade “Sans Rival” = without equal. 
As seen on page 90 of the iconic “TOOLS RARE what the hell is this? & INGENIOUS” celebrating the world’s most amazing tools by SANDOR NAGYSZALANCZY.

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece with the Napoleon iron.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, a few shrinkage checks to the end grain & escapement, the blade stamp is gorgeous, it's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
